Somebody has been made responsible for booking it. This is the short version of how to get it right.
Being handed the office Christmas booking is not a promotion. It is a task with one outcome available — nobody praises the person who got it right, and everybody remembers the year it went wrong.
The three things that actually matter
One table, not four. A work party split across separate tables becomes four small parties who cannot hear each other. Ask explicitly for a long table and confirm it.
Book in October or early November. Not late November. The December dates that work for a group of fifteen are gone by then, and the choice narrows to whatever is left rather than what you wanted.
Order for the table. Fifteen individual orders arriving at fifteen different moments kills the evening. Maltese food solves this natively — sharing plates in the middle, then the slow dishes.
Tell us numbers, dietary requirements and a rough budget when you book, and the kitchen will do the rest.
The hard part is not the food. It is the seating plan, and that is fixed by booking early.
